Admission criteria, including emergency admissionsThe Home’s statement on admission is included in our Admissions Policy. For the purpose of this Statement, all enquiries for planned (non-emergency) admissions should be referred to Care Manager (or the nurse in her/his absence). In any enquiry we ask that the service user or/and their representative make an initial visit to the home and to discuss individual requirements, wishes and needs. You will be very welcome to visit.
Quality ControlWe take very seriously quality control and within this a drive towards continuous improvement and attention to detail. The Home carries out periodic audits of all aspects of care and service delivery including:
- A visual care audit
- A ‘personal space audit’ including bedrooms and personal care areas
- A care documentation audit
- Meal audits
- Medicines audits
- Environmental audits
- Care records audit
- Accident and incident rate audits
- Health and Safety audits
We based our audits on the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety (2010). Additionally the Home is regulated by the Quality Care Commission (CQC). Service users, or their relatives or representatives, are welcome to view copies of their reports.
